The city has many famous sites such as the Corcovado and the Museu de Chacara do Ceu. The Brazilian people have a flair for life and it is very obvious through these beautiful sights and places of culture and history.
The Corcovado is a hunchback mountain where stands the infamous statue of Christ Redeemer with his outstretched arms. The mountain stands 2,230 feet and the statue stands 100 feet.
